Need Advice...Help

okay here is the deal for those who dont know i have a 94 accord lx with a h22a swap....okay i had the bright idea of getting the motor clean.....so i cover the intake/alternator/distributor/ and all that [Censored] up very well.....i used degreaser and then rinsed it of and the used some tire shine to shine it up a bit.......well it looks good but here is the problem....it runs fine but the battery light comes on and it acts like the alternator is going out......here are the things i tryed..... make'n sure the alternator belt was dry not slip'n.....tested battery.....and alternator....and check battery conections......WTF??????????? HELP also changed alternator belt just to make sure it was working good....thanks guys..

 

so does the car still run in normal condition? is just the light that comes on or does the car start acting up?

 

the car will run fine its just all the lighting and stuff will dim and the battery light is on.... i have reset the ecu too......HELP!!!

 

Sounds like you damaged the Alternator, and the battery isn't charging. I would pull of the alternator and take it to an auto-parts store that test alternators and have them do a load run on it. Hopefully this helps, because I did the same thing a few years ago..

 

see i took it to get it tested and they said it was fine same for the battery... I NEED HELP

 

I would take it to another place then, because the battery light only comes on because of two things. Bad Battery, or bad alternator and 99% of the time its the alternator that pulls the battery light on.
