Default Do hidden antennas work as well as the stock mast?

I've never liked the retracting mast - and the motor that moves it - on my 4th gen lude. If I get one of those hidden ones, will I get the same good reception?

Also, how expensive is it to shave the hole?

Dan

i wanted a motorized antenna... but all the universal stuff aren't useable on my car. as for the reception, it's all the same i believe.

i'm getting mine done for $200. this guy uses (PPG) paint and has great color matching skill. i've painted a couple of things there before ... so i **** you not. doesn't matter how much it cost as long as it gets done right.

I have one of those "hidden antennas". It's mounted on my front windshield. The reception is not as good in my case, as stock. But it looks a whole lot better.
