Default problems with starter and/or battery

ever since i could remeber, my battery has been acting up. it seems as if its a daily basis to jump start my battery everytime i turn it off. the thing is its not even a 3 month battery from wal-mart. sometimes when i try starting it, it bearly cranks and then dies. heres my question..

what could be draining the battery to the point where i have to jump start it everyday. could it be a battery problem or starter problem?

when i get them both checked out, what should i do from there?

Check your terminals, are they corroded before the battery. Also get it tested, just get a quick load test to see if its still a good battery. If you have a voltmeter get someone to crank over the car and watch the voltage. If it goes under about 10.6 volts your starter is drawing to much voltage, and you could probably just do the starter contacts if its the problem. To me it sounds like your starter. Does your car start with no problem after its been running? Also does this happen when it sits for a long time? If so you could have something as little as a relay staying in the closed position, drawing current and eventually making your battery die.
