Helm's Manual unclear at times
While lowering my engine in the car, one set of straps got pinched and let go and the engine swung down an inch on one side the jack caught it (good precaution). In the process it took a small chunk of of the outer wall (p/s section) of the crank pulley. Originally my crank pulley had a minor ding and everyone said it would be okay but this is about 1/2 the size of a dime. Will there be balance issues? Also, in my Helm's it says that to remove the crank pulley "remove the special bolt" with no picture or diagram. What is it talking about?
Those crank pulleys are so brittle, I've taken pieces out just barely prying on them, a lesson learned now. Depending on how this motor will be driven, the little piece missing will probably not do any harm. I had a pulley missing a piece for many thousand miles with no ill effects.
As far as the "special" bolt goes, there's only one bolt on the crank pulley, so it shouldn't be too unclear...
It's also especially tight, so maybe that's what they're talking about.
