Default mugen thermostat

is it worth the extra dough ? and is there any ups and downs to this ? I searched online and found something saying it'll make your motor run richer because the motor isnt getting warm enough?

I have the radiator cap, thermostat, and fan switch on my '98 Prelude SH.

The car runs slightly cooler.

I haven't noticed any ill effects and I drive in IL winters!

it is a good idea to run a cooler thermostat when doing major upgrades. i have and ls/vtec with turbo and i have a mugen thermo. and it keeps the water temp. right where it belongs. the ecu doesn't have n e thing to do with the thermo. just the fan switch.
