Suggestions for CRX Engine Swap
Looking to do another engine swap to my 88 CRX, last swap was just the stock motor with low miles to get it running, now I am looking for all out performance! How about some pictures or links of some suggestions I should do, sofar I have a B16a in mind, found complete swap for $1600.

If you want all motor...go with B16...if you want to boost it, then B18A/B. I would reccomend the other B18s, but too much money.
Even the D16Z6/Y8 boosted would be plenty for the CRX. Will run you much less then any other swap.

I'll just say i'm happy with my b16a. LS/VTEC motors depending on who built it can be bad. LS isnt bad but I would probably go B16 route over an LS. People keep saying turbo it but that could get as much as a decently built b16, and not be as reliable. With a turbo you would have to tune it, sure it would be funner with a turbo but its gonna cost more and more money. Also with the B16 as it is its pretty fun for daily driving and wont cost as much on gas as a turboed car. I have a built b16a and is great for daily driving and autocross, I guess it depends on how much money you have and what you want to do with the car. Just my 2 cents.

too much green for that
too much green for that
I'm not the biggest LS fan in the world. But from what I have seen at the local Pick-And-Pulls, you can pick one up quite cheap (less than $300 for a complete swap). They are also quite common. And although I believe the LS is quite a step down from a B20Z or VTEC motor, it is still better than any D-series motor. If you can pick up everything for less than a D16Z6 (which you almost never find at Pick-And-Pull), why not go LS? In addition, you can pick up an extra shortblock for $75 to build an LS-VTEC on the side.
How about just getting a B16 swap? Then after your pockets have recovered from redline, look into a LS/VTEC or CR/VTEC. All you'll need is the block (cheap) that you can build up as much as you think you need to and like 2 motor brackets!

Right now since Im short on money Im gunna do a JDM d15b vtec the motor was only 300 bux
