place racing front cross member...if you have one post here
Allright I just got this civic. I tried to have it aligned and they could not do it. So I thought the frame was bent and all out of wack, but it all measures in spec. Only thing I can say the problem might be now is the front x-member.
WHen i had it aligned, the toe and camber was adjusted in. But the problem was the position of the wheel in the wheel well. It sits about 1 inch forward (the front of the car) than my wifes 89 4 door and my friends 89 crx.
So if you have one please post if your sits fine or not, and also I'm wondering if my bushings have been installed wrong inside the x-member so if you know how they are supposed to be please post.

drivers side

pass side (don't mind how close to the bumper, thing is sitting way back..that's what happens when you buy a car and find it has no bumper support)

I have one and mine is fine as far as wheel placement goes. I had the car aligned with no problems.
I did have a problem with the way it bolted up... the part that bolted up to the stock cross member holes didn't line up very well at all. I ended up cutting off those flaps and re-welding them in a better position.
Did you have trouble bolting it up?

wow, thats fucked, either you jca is bent to hell, serious subframe damage, or the radius rod bushings are installed wrong

Hey guys I figured it all out. The previous owner had the wrong upper control arms, had the upper control arms on the wrong ******* side, and my pass side rear subframe (rear x-member) was bent were the lca bolted in to it. I replaced all that and got it re aligned. The place bar made it a hair off but it is damn near perfect!!

yeah they are not perfect. To get my alignment perfect he said he would have to modify the rods, but he said it was so close it would be ok.
