Default Coil question

Got me a 93 Accord EX and when first pulling out at a low RPM say about 1-2k rmps I get what sounds like a missfire. I have no other problems at other rpms or if i need to get on her she pulls out no probs. Do ya all think I have a bad coil? I have replaced the cap, rotor, wires, plugs, pcv, and air cleaner. Please give me some feedback.

Also I am getting Skunk2Racing coils is it wise to put new factory struts or what strut is recommended for this setup? I was going to go with a body kit but don't want to look Rice. LOL

Default Re: Coil question (93ProjectAccord)

I think a misfire would lead me to believe your timing is off.

A coil basically provides spark for the ignition and if that coil was bad your car probably wouldn't turn over.

To answer your 2nd question anytime you make an adjustment to ride height and strut travel length it is wise to upgrade to a shorter 'throw' of shocks/struts. A lot of manufactures like kyb and tokico and koni make struts/shocks that can handle a lower car (around a 2-3" drop).
