Hi,

does anyone know if the altenator from an integra 85 sedan would suit a 90 civic sedan?

My new car (the civic) is broken down in another town and I have to go pick it up and replace the alternator, just wondering if I could rip out the alt from my 85 Integra.
I know that it might be a case of find out when you try but the town I broke down in is a couple hundred K's so want to find out beforehand if possible.
Also I'm assuming it's the altenator because the battery light and engine light were on and when driving the lights/radio just slowly dimmed before eventually dying altogether and the engine eventually stopped too. Leaving it for an hour or so I was able to start again before it quickly died again.

depending how far. take out the battery recharge it.

and rev it higher than usual and drive it home
