sounds like a weak alternator- save yourself some time and aggrivation when you replace it by getting a Honda alternator. So you rev it and the light goes out? One thing you might try when it is idling- smack the alternator with a long screwdriver or prybar- sometimes the brushes hang up.

check to see if her lights dim when the car is on...might be the alternator.

I went to a Trak auto and had them test the alternator. they said it was charging the battery normally.. any other ideas?

the only thing that lights the battery light is the voltage regulator in the alternator. If you were in columbus you could bring to my work and I could test it for you. But you're not so I can't. You will most likely need an alternator. If you unplug the connector on the back of the alternator and the light goes out with the key on - you need an alternator.
