Default JRC johnny race car intercoolers....too good to be true??

Alright I'm working on my d16z6 turbo and i ran across JRC fmic's and they seem way to cheap to be good but I always hear about people using them, anyone here use them with some high hp cars? also has anyone had them heat soak on them. lastly my buddy is building a high hp dsm and he wants to know how the 8" is and if it would be ok for him. Thanks alot guys.

for the price, they're great intercoolers, in my opinion. a lot of people have had success with them and recommend them.
