Default Valve job... Now clatter

I got a valve job done on my D16z6 head before I set up the mini-me... Now it is running, it has a loud valve clatter. I have tried to adjust the valves, but no change. Will the valves seat and quiet down? I have not driven it yet... Or maybe I screwed up the valves on the install? I don't have a compression meter to test...

What do you think? Drive it and hope it gets quieter? or what else??

check the timing. if it's off then you might get a tick.

Cam timing seems OK. I need to mess with the dizzy a bit, and file a bit off to retard it a bit, the ignition timing is a bit advanced. Maybe 5 degrees or so. Would this make it tick?

yes, 5 deg of advance is way too much, bring it back to 16-18. The chatter you hear is probably detonation.
