Short shifter broke
I was driving my car home from school yesterday and on the way home my short shifter broke. It was some blue short shifter that had came with the car so i dont know weather it was a cheap one or not. I am in the market for a new one know. I looked around and saw a Skunk2 single bend and dual bend. Whats the difference and which one would you guys recommend? Any others that I should maybe look into. Also looking to upgrade to anotehr shiftknob too maybe a skunk2 or type R. Thanks
single bend= 1 bend... dual bend= 2 bends... like the 94 up teg... i prefer dual bend... its more comfortable and sits closer to the driver... i have a no name dual bend with a skunk2 ****... no complaints here
Just put my dual bend in last week. i highly reccomend it!!!
When you install it though, don't tighten the shift linkage+shifter bolt too tight or it will take a while to loosen itself

This is what I have and I love it. http://www.fastlineperformance.com/shifter.htm I also use a Skunk2 **** on this shifter.

i have a B&M short shifter, No bends, and i love it. i had a cheap ebay short shifter but it broke, def. go with a skunk2 or b&m short shifter, single dual or no bends doesnt matter really. its all preference.

I wasn't even shifting hard. It was just a regular shift and it came in my hand. Also should i get a brushing kit also with the new shifteR?

Definitely! Once you drive with shifter bushings, you wont wanna go back to that old wobbly shifter feel. It feels so much better.

<- broke a DC shifter after about a year. Replaced it with a no name ebay shifter, broke that in less than 48 hours from install. I am back to the oem shifter now. If you must have a shifter get the skunk2. It is STEEL and not aluminum and also carries a lifetime warranty versus the 1 yr warr. from DC or other companies.
hah, buddy got an ebay shifter and it broke at the pivot point...we had to lock it in 3rd gear and he had to launch from stop lights and signs...b&m dominates all
...i chose the no bend, but thats my comfort zone...it all depends on you
