Lets play - "Whats Missing from My Engine Bay"
Details:
Car is a 1988 Honda Prelude SI. however it is a JDM model and was imported to New Zealand in 1998 or so. I have had it for a bit over a year and its been a great little car. But one thing always bugged me. Why is the intake full of openings, and what went in between the radiator and the engine?
Photo evidence

Detail of the place where something should be mounted....

A wider view (same place circled)
And to the left is the intake, which has three openings, one just by the left headlight, one covered up (by me) as seen in this shot

And a third further up stream, the tube circled just ends there (hot air scoop?)

Seems like a mystery to me, and I thought some of the Car Lounge detectives would like the challenge!

I was thinking the same thing
I was thinking the same thing
I think all engine blocks have a few random-looking bolt holes that are just used for lifting it out of the engine bay or something.

that part thats capped off is just a resonator that was removed and the other is the ac compressor. and that link thing in the hard line, i think thats a ac line.
