Default homelink (revisited)

can anyone confirm if a car's alarm can be programmed into a homelink?

for the rest of the people there searching for reasons than provide answers, I want to copy my wifes car alarm into my homelink. so instead of always having to carry her spare remote, its in my homelink.

any info (not opinion) appreciated

The homelink frequency range is 288 - 399 MHz. Some 01+ cars are 288 - 418 MHz.

Most likely, as mentioned, the frequency of your wife's car alarm will be outside that range. Check the user manual of the alarm to see what frequency range it runs on.
