the cable could be messed up... if you need it on hot just change it from the engine bay... or you can reach behind the console and change it there as well

i dont think its broken cuz it worked before i swaped my b16 in it. i think it might be the cable on it.

mine did that too until one day i just cranked it and it came out of its track ( on the wheel disk thing ) what you can do is, there should be two cables that hook up to the tracks or something like that. one will be out longer than the other. push in the longer one and pull on the shorter one until you want it either hot/cold or inbetween. i think thats how it goes, i havent looked at mine for a while

there is a valve in the engine bay against the firewall that has a coolant line running to the heater core... you will see the end of the cable connected to it... basically when you turn the **** it moves the cable which opens or closes the valve which regulates the flow of the coolant through the heater core... just manually move the valve whicever way you need to for the heater to work

there are two cables, and they move the seame way, not opposite ways like other people said. pulled out is hot, and pushed in is not. one of the cables runs to the valve in the heater hose on the firewall, and the other one moves the fresh air flap in the vents to let air blow over the heater core
