taking out 96-00 civic pendants??
How do you guys take out the civic/lx/dx/ex pendants out so clean?? can someone give me a little procedure how to take them out without leaving a mark on the paint of the glue?? thanks
i think it will alwasy leave some weird glue residue. What you need to do is just take it off. And to take off the glue stuff use "GOO GONE" it can be bought at any school supply store like Office Depot or Stapels. Put the Goo Gone on a clean towel and just rub. I did it it worked perfectly. The one thing you can't get rid of is the fading of the paint around it. The decal will most likey be Brighter because it hasnt been faded by the sun.
i used fishing line to cut through the double stick tape then just finger nails carefully and waxed it unless you car is brand new or not a dark color there will be fading assuming you are in the right forum your car is at least 5 yrs old so way too much time to not be faded. after a few washes though you will barely notice it
not something you'd want to do if you have perfect paint but I compounded my whole car, and any residue I had from the civic / dx / car dealer sticker **** is gone 110%...so a little rubbing compound will get rid of it for sure.
just get a hair dryer and set it on hot/high and wait 'til the glue starts to melt, then u can SLOWLY peel the badges off along w/ all its glue that came on it.
