can you put a h22a type s in a rex?
yes you can. The easiest way would be to use the h2b plate kit and use B mounts. I will be going this route but making my own kit becuase i rule. If you want to use an H tranny talk to 2point2 he did at least a year ago.

Who are you buying the plate from ? Just curious cause I remember the last seller was kind of a scam artiest. And a new guy is coming out with a plate.
Anyways to the original poster, it can be done, but if you have to ask, more then likely your not gonna be able to handle it.

Nope its not, only 60 pounds more then a b series. Many people run b series with turbos and have no problems.
The only issue would be oil pan clearance.

we need to make a sticky somewhere highly visible saying "H series only adds 60 lbs over B series." I'm sick of people spreading lies about it being front heavy, especially when they have no qualms about putting 60 lbs of turbos/brakes/wheels/etc. on the front end.
If you plan on street use with the b series mounts, you will need some sort of bash guard, it hangs low for any type of normal city streets IMO. But would be a killer setup.

Do you know how to weld ? Do you know how to cut metal ? Do you know how to fabricate things if it comes down to it ?

One of the main reasons why the h22 I'm doing is gonna be strictly drag for now, if I can some how get the clearance good with the ground, I might do another one for a daily driver.
