Default HELP: Need to drain gas!

Aight, I searched, and I've only found the drain plug method...I need a diff method...

I have a 4dr EG that I just wrecked last week. Well that morning before the wreck I filled her up with gas, and only put like 20 miles on that tank, I need to drain and fill up my Blazer with the gas. How can I do this??

- I've tried the siphon method, but that didn't go very well. The kit I bought was cheap and yeah umm no!!

- I've tried the old school method of a hose and suck it out myself, and yeah fumes, NO WAY!! Dangerious...

Is there a way I can use the fuel system to drain it into a gas can??

Dude if the car is shot anyway, just smash a hole in the bottom of the gas tank.

Try the siphon method again bro. thats the quickest, easiest and safest way to do it. return the kit you bought and get a better one.

Hmmmm I just tried again, and I "sucked" hard and nothing......fumes are killer though....not trying that again............

How about disconnecting the bango bolt to the fuel rail...stuffing that line in a bigger hose and powering the fuel pump?? would that make the gas flow out and into my container??

just get a turkey baster pan. let it drain , plug the drain hole then put gas in the truck...

or a 2.5 gallon water bottle/container works too...cut the top part , fill it up then just open the nozzle and it pours right into your truck.. this is what i did.

Of course you can siphon gas out. How can they prevent you?

Try this. Put a hose in the tank. Now blow. Do you hear bubbling in the tank? If not, dont even try siphoning. If you do, SUCK ...baby...SUCK!! Otherwise, if you have to buy a siphon tool, well the money you have to spend wont be worth the trouble.

Becareful...dont blow up!

Yea... btw if you saw the wink, i was joking about smashing a hole in the gas tank.

anyways, hose on fuel line, ( if the car is junk and you dont care, cut it so its easier ) and turn on the fuel pump.

Oh, and no smoking.

Most modern cars have screens and baffels in place to prevent any hose or tube bigger than a pencil from getting into the tank.

Yes I am, thank you for noticing here is a prize. (High Five)

But seriously we've confirmed your idea and given you a few more what more do you want? There's only so many ways to do this and I think we've listed them all.

umm if you have an air compressor, stick the hose in the tank and cover the filler and blow air into the thank, like use and rag so pressure doesnt come out, all your doing is pressurizing the tank and the gas will flow out you hose into what ever you desire!

Even funnier because he's going to all this trouble just to fill his other car up with gas.

can you still prime the pump? I have never tried this or even know if it is safe but you could dissconnect the gass line from the fuel rail and keep primeing the pump

Have you tried siphoning from where the fuel pump is? Or just from the nozzle spot? Take out the fuel pump and try siphoning from there.

Or do what the other guys have said and use your fuel pump.

Go to a truck stop they have a new product called a magic syphon get that and you'll be set don't know the price but, it's making alot of truck drivers get fuel caps with locks on them suppose to be the easiest way to syphon gas. P.S. you from Tempe try the Flying J off I-10 they should have it they did a week ago. good luck peace.
