Default Basic tranny removal/install??

Heya everyone, searched but could not find anything on this topic. anyway, me and my buddy tonight are going to swap out my tranny on my d series. The tranny is pretty messed up and ordered another one to swap in. anyway, were alright with the tools so i figured we can manage and we got some people to call as backup haha , but wondering if anyone could just throw us some advice/hints or basic instructions. Thanks!

get 2 jacks, one to hold the motor, the other to lower the tranny down, makes it much easier.

if you have teh toold then just take your time and it is really easy. it can be a bitch to line up the tranny spindle to teh clutch but if you are using 2 jacks and a buddy just take your time and it will go.

are you replacing the clutch at this time? you may want to since you will have the tranny off already just a thought
