RSX S vs Scion TC
I was reading the Scion TC forum...similar to our Honda-Tech and I see a lot of people posting up the RSX vs TC scenario. What do you guys think? on the TC forums some people are saying that TC's perform better than Type S's. I know that depending on what car you own it could be a little biased but what do you guys think? I know that stock for stock the accleration, 1/4, 0-60 #'s of the RSX type S look better than the TC's...I just find it weird that some TC owners are posting up that they beat Type S's by multiple car lengths!?!?! of course it all comes down to the driver but here is what I know so far from Car and Driver
CAR AND DRIVER ACCLERATION REVIEWS
05 RSX TYPE S
0-60 mph: 6.2 sec
0-100 mph: 16.6 sec
Street Start 5-60 mph: 6.9 sec
1/4 Mile: 14.9 sec @ 95 mph
Top Speed (drag limited): 136 mph
05 Scion TC
0-60 mph: 7.4 sec
0-100 mph: 20.9 sec
Street Start 5-60 mph: 8.0
1/4 Mile: 15.7 sec @ 88 mph
Top Speed (drag limited): 127mph
I know numbers don't do justice! So I want to know what you RSX owners have experienced with the TC...track wise, street race wise...etc. I know that the TC is a great car for the price plus all the options. I consider the TC more bang for your buck. That is one thing I don't mind the TC owners bragging about...but some of them are bragging about how TC performance beats Type S performance...not even comparing it the base model! So what is your input RSX guys?

i really just don't like the TC's. Type-S all the way. Then again, it's also priced more.
and I don't know about the RSX's top speed being limited... well, i don't know for sure (i've never tried going that fast), but i do know there was a video floating around of some kid in his 05-S doing well over 145 mph.

what a coincidence...me and my cousin were just comparing these cars cuz he might get one soon. i give the TC a
for its good price with all those features and stuff but accessories like a color changing stereo dont do crap for you on the track...stock for stock i think if you get beat by a TC and your driving a type S u mustve not been trying or f*%ked up somehow
anyways from my knowledge of the type S.....Type S comes out over the TC

The tC is an EXCELLENT car for what it is: inexpensive reliable transportation. The RSX-S will smoke it in most performance tests, but it costs quite a bit more too. All in all, for the money, it's hard to beat the tC. If you can afford a bit mroe though, there are better cars.

I agree and don't forget that the TC is a 3000 lbs plus car. Performance wise it cannot compare to a type s . hell my civic does 15.7 all motor

a couple weeks ago i posted a video of my base rsx against my friends tc. the second gear pull murdered him. (sorry, i was peer pressured into street racing)
however, the interior of the tc was very, very nice. the rsx has a much more sportier feel to it. on the other hand, the tc seemed less sportier.
imho, i'd go for the rsx. and if it's a type-s, more power to you.

i raced my friends tc, i killed him so easily, well other than my small mods..lol
btw, i drove his car, and it felt sluggish and heavy, i couldn't feel the power at all. and i hated how the pedals were

hell no what are they thinking.. RSX-S owns TC "." EP3 is more like a better competition to the TC.. I've driven an automatic TC, it felt like driving my friend's 03 corolla LE. Unless we're talking about really crappy driver and hear this, this guy I know ran 16-17s 1/4 in his S2k.. WTF?.....
I went to the track with my S and raced a TC i was talkin to the guy he was completly stock and so was I, It was both our first times at the track so we both had the same experience lavel. I ran a 15.8 and he ran a 16.7 YES I KNOW IT WAS MY FIRST TIME RUNNING AT THE TRACK SO DONT BUST MY *****
