jdm d15b non vtec? exsist?
my friend said he has a jdm d15b in his 92-95 civic coupe, i told him "did u hook up vtec" he said "WHAT?" he told me its non vtec and that the spark plugs are on top
i thought i was pretty good on knowledge about honda motors, but i thought d15b was a sohc vtec cuase i was thinking of getting that but i found a d16z6
i told him either someone scractched off the 7 after the b cuase his car is a dx, and he bought the motor from some company locally, or slapped a dx head on it.
or is there really a non vtec d15b

nah they exsist me and my brother in law both have one they come in older civics i think but they're carburated ours come with a duel carb set up on the intake manifold its pretty sick looking but we took it off for fuel injection but thinking of putting it back on. a civic w/duel carbs thats gotta be pretty mean
Yep they exsist. Got one in my drive here.
They were the base model for crxs in japan, 1.5x, they were dual carbed putting out about 100bhp
I see so many questions like this. Take a look at http://www.cr-x.org for specs, set up by an lad here in Ireland a few years back.
