like the regular catalogue? 'cuz you can access the whole honda parts catalogue from hondapartsdeals.com , not just some pictures and part numbers this is the real catalogue.

no this is the digital catalouge that the dealerships have. It has the part number and the list price and the % that you want to charge you.....it's awesome....never will we get fucked for parts again.....well maybe we will but at least we know what's worth going to the Dealer for.

i'd like to know, but there might be a problem with it connecting. doesn't it connect to their server to check pricing and avail?, the server would have the correct date. if the developer was smart when making it, they might have added that in.

i'm not saying you can't do it, i'm just thinking it might not work.

Oh I just lean over the counter and look how much list and retail are, then ask if that is the best they can do on the price. You really should never pay more than 10% over cost, unless your dealership is a bunch of A-holes.

10% over cost isn't going to pay the bills for the dealership.

believe me thats not enough.

I get 10% over cost, and I work at the dealer... You must be REALLY good buddies with someone there to get a price like that all the time...

I have this catalog too, and are playing with the out of date thing. I'm tempted to just copy the files from work. Hmmm...

You are right, the parts counter makes it's money from commercial accounts (15-20% over cost typically) and selling parts to customers through service repair orders (30-100% over cost) Walk-in customers are the smallest base of parts income.

Yeah, I was a honda technician for 3 years too, the parts guy I go to gives them to me for 5-10%+tax because I work on his car for free.

But truthfully you should be able to buddy up with one person at any dealer and get 10%+tax pretty easily if you buy from them frequently. This is only because there are plenty of people who walk in and pay full pop without question.

I get pretty much everything for the list price.....at my dealership. and that's only b/c i know the guy...smoked him out....and worked on his car. I had to earn this guys trust.....The EPC...i found that on emule......but my boy gives the mad hook ups b/c he knows how i operate....
1.) give him the list of **** i want to buy
2.) he finds it. faxes me the price...."retail"
3.) i come in drop about 1g on ****....and i get a special bulk price....i pay for my ****....it works out in the end....but it is nice to stroll in and have everyone know you at the dealership. Especially with the persk of going to school with the dealership president's daughter..... I am so into honda i love it.

the EPC is just an easier way for me to look through the catalouge for requests on here. Upload pics and suggested prices.....call it a better guide to buying parts...b/c no one wants to get screwed at the dealership.

hey burly, if you go to that site I mentioned before http://www.hondapartsdeals.com their prices are pretty damn close to list price plus 5-10%, it is what I use to get a rough idea of what I am buying is going to cost it also provides the part numbers so I can just hand a list of numbers to the counter person and they have them all looked up in seonds.
