b16 intake manifold and throttle body sensor swap
I am tring to swap the sensors from a obd2 b16 throttle body and intake manifold to a manifold and throttle body that i do not know what obd it is. obd1-obd0?, but i ran into a few problems.
sensor (3) doesn't fit on the obd-? mani because it has an extra hole for a bolt that is not on the manifold.
another thing is that the map sensor (1) doesnt have a place on the obd? to bolt onto.
i am also having a hella of a hard time trying to figure out how to take those screws out of the sensor (2)
lastly, does anyone know what sensor goes in that hole in the 0bd-? manifold? The obd2 doesnt have a port for a sensor.
To get those screws out your going to have to make notches so you can use a flat head, but as for the rest I'm unsure and I'm kind of in the same dilema as you. I have a b16a2 in my '94 civic and I don't see where the map sensor is or needs to be so I can't hook it up so the car runs bad and throws the map sensor code. I've spent all day trying to figure this out and would love the help.
Some of the Hondas had the map sensor bolted to the firewall. Why not just switch throttle bodies or mainfold and throttle body? The hole in the runner is for the IAT sensor. Good luck
From the pictures above, I don't see why it would be a problem, as long as you are bolting it onto a PR-3 head. I'm pretty sure the one with the IAT sensor in the runner is a JDM B16A manifold and the other looks to be a USDM B16A manifold. I know the 99-00 B16A had a smaller IAC valve, so that may not fit.
Could you tell us what car and engine you are working with and any other info about the manifold?
