Default just installed vafc2 and car runs funny

I just installed my vafc2 a little while ago and when I went to start it, it didn't want to start. I have never had a problem with my car starting ever. so I unplugged the battery hoping to see if it cleared it. It did not. Every morning I go out to start my car and it won't. I have to sit and crank it for a while. When it finally does start it smells really rich. and also it drowns itself out if I try to touch the gas. so after about 2 mins of running its back to normal does any body know what this is or what it could be
