Default JDM B18C swap into 94' USDM EX Coupe wiring harness question

i searched but couldn't get a lot of answers from that......

I'm currently doing the swap like it says, 94' JDM B18C into my 94' EX Coupe, and i'm just gettin a cherry picker sorted out from a friend and i was lookin at the b18c just inspecting it and there seems to be a few extra wiring harnesses on it that my car doesn't have. I thought the swap would be plug and play except for the knock sensor(D3) and IAB(A20 to A17) wires that i would have to mess with. Even 1 of the main plugs on the passenger side looked like it wouldn't plug straight in. If anyone has any info for me on this stuff that'd help me out a lot, I'm just a little confused right now about the wiring and I'm either pulling out my civic motor tonight or tomorrow i think so any info ASAP would be greatly appreciated. thanks

They could be anything. Take pics of the plugs and that would help us help you.

I don't have a digital camera or i would...... like on the passenger side, the main 3 harnesses that are there, only 2 of them will plug in directly it seems and then if you follow that harness down towards the engine it splits off some and there's was a few seperate harnesses that weren't on my civic.

ok there's 2 sensors that are by the speed sensor, they are grouped together away from the main harness but i dunno what they are for. then i'm thinkin it's my backup light sensor isn't connected to anything so i'm gonna have to hardwire that in, then there's one more sensor and a few random cut wires right by the starter........ this is not a good experience for my first swap..

youll need to add wires for the knock sensor and IAB's. i forget where the o2 sensor is on the EX, but you may need to extend the wires if the o2 sensor of the ex isn't on the header, under the car

I know that I need to add the KS and the IABs but there are extra harnesses on the B18C harness that i never had to unplug from my coupe. So I'm thinkin either I need to splice into these wires and run them manually or they are extra ones for more options that my car doesn't have that the previous RHD car had over in jap.

Anyone done a swap just like this and have same problem? a solution or suggestions would be great...

the o2 sensor on my z6 is on the header, but on the B18C it's right after the collector pipe on the beginning of the cat. I have this under control, it's just those other harnesses...

Use your stock wire harness. Dont try and use the one the motor came with. Add the wires you need. Should be it dude.

I would use my stock one but i'm putting my d16z6 into my 91' Si, the Si has 255xxx miles and so i'm thinkin it could use my d16z6. I just got an email from the company i got the engine from cause a couple sensors were broken and so i'm getting them sent to me, and they said that i can't use the harness that came with the engine and i need a USDM harness, can't i just flip the harness around and extend the wires i need to and use it? or do i need to get a 92+ civic or 94+ teg harness?
