Lean Racing shifter installed......review and install with pics
Ok before i go into this. Both shifters install and uninstall alike so i just took pictures of the lean shifter and you can figure it out. If you can't then you dont need to be working on your car. :bh :hehe
Anyway, on with it.
This is the Lean shifter. As you can see there really isnt much to do to get everything out.
First:
Pull out this cotter pin and remove the bolt.
Second:
Take a thin/small flat head screw driver. You have to move the lever in the back in order to twist that whole cable assembly of. Pull the lever back with the flathead, turn the assembly, and pull it out of the housing.
Third:
Take a set of vice grips or pliers and take both hands to it. PULL that ****** off. It will not break and it will take a bit of force to get it off. Then take off the nuts at the top of that cable and pull the cable from the housing above.
Last:
take out the four bolts and pull off the whole shift assembly.
For installation of the shifter, do the steps backwards. Except you will be putting it on, lol.
If you get the shift kit bushings. There will be 8 of them. 4 go under the shifter assembly and 4 go on top. The flat ones go on top.
You can chose between two settings of the shifter. The top one is the shortest and its the one i liked the most between the two. The bottom setting felt like the DC sports adaptor yet the shift quality was MUCH more amazing. The top setting is like flick of the wrist shifting. All and all, awesome product. I couldnt be any happier with it.
