Ok, i've got a head, a block, a new gasket and some new headstuds.

I've also got a helms.

Do i have to use any sort of extra anything while placing the gasket onto the block, then the head onto the block?

And then after that just torque down in the multi step pattern like helms suggest?

and use some oil on the bolts? Sorry for my ignorant questions, but i couldn't find a good walkthrough.

 

Make sure you put it on the right way... hehe. You can definately install the headgasket upside down.
