Default 88 accord flywheel

Ok I have an 88 accord lxi 2 door. It was making a clack clack sound like the starter was slipping out of the flywheel. I took the starter up to kragen they said it was fine. I Checked the teeth on the flywheel for any flat spots. I could'nt find any, so do you think the starter is bad but they couldnt tell because it did'nt have any pressure on it?

Thanks in advance

No this is the noise when trying to start the car. Its like the starter cant fully grab the flywheel. Then it just wont start the starter will just keep spinning. The bolts were tight when I removed the starter.

it's possible that the gear reduction is bad, or the gear and the flywheel teeth are more worn than you first thought... over on 3geez.com, there is a guy selling brand new lightened flywheels for like $150 shipped... give that a shot if you end up needing a new flywheel

you have to remve tranny to get to flywheel ,,it might be a difficult job if you dont have proper equipment//////but i tought you said all the teeth in flywheel looked ok if so why do you want to replace flywheel????
if the teeth are ok and if noise is coming from starter area and if it is a non honda starter, replace the starter with a honda 1
