Default Tranny Grinding

Heya everyone. Recently bought a d16y8 swap and the tranny grinds. Thing is, it grinds when going into some gears and ALWAYS when i have it in gear, and let off the gas. It feels like it grabs, but it grinds and the car seems to slow down faster then normal say on the freeway where u can feel it the most.. If i give it gas, the tranny doesn't grind and seems fine. any ideas? Thanks! -Jeff

Is it a heavey grinding noise or more of a "whirring" noise? Whiring is most likely your bearings. If it grinds all the time then check the fluid level (if there is any in there at all. If it's a bad and loud grinding, then something has gone really bad .
