zc porbs?
i got a zc in a 91 crx and when it warms up it seems not to run right.what i mean is it wont rev past 2k and went it gets close to 2 3 k it seems like it bogs down it just started to happen any advice.
i've been hearing this a lot lately about the zc.
if it runs like **** at all rpms and can barely hold idle, bogs down when you gas it, won't rev high, i'd put money on the timing being off.

the CPS will make it do this as well, if its bad it wont rev over 3K at all, will just bounce off like limited.
And IT could be a Cam timing issue, most people dont set it right, or dont tighten the belt right and it will slip a couple of teeth.
And make it Run like crap if the cams are off a tooth or so.

I experienced this for a long time, I was using a pm6 ecu and right when i replace it with a pr4 ecu it stopped. could of been a bad ecu but i struggle with it for months. Try using a stock ecu and drive the car around the block, if the bogging stop, it could be the ecu. Nothing beats having a perfectly running crx

it happened bout year after it was runing fine till it warms up btw its not throwing any codes im gonna check the plugs tomroow see if they r fouled, well it did happen after i put 87 octane in it then when i put 93 back in it it started doing it so i not sure what it is.
gas octane wont make a diference. your car shoudl run properely whether it has 87 or 94 octane.
Was the crx a DX?
Did you do a dpfi to mpfi swap?
is the IACV hooked up?
If its disconnected it will limit the revs for some reason (my pm6 does this)
also if it smells rich burning makes sure your map sensor lines are unclogged and the map is functioning. check the ecu for codes. the only way to solve this problem is trial and error. you will find it eventually though.

ight guys all fixed i didnt relize i couldnt use a single cam air intake temp sensor from a a6 intake manifold and use it on a dual cam zc i guess theres a temp diff .but thatnks for the help
checked the sprak getting good spark ,now if the tps went bad will it stop the car from starting,it aint the timing,im goona check fuel system in the morning im starting to wonder if im getting any fuel, btw it back fires and the timing aint advanged none, just turns over but wont fire,im clueless????????
if the tps is bad, your car can still start. I was forced to run without one for a while.
you should be ok with fuel. but to check it out make sure your main fuel relay is in working condition. turn your key to the on position and listen for the pump to whirl then listen for the click from your relay when the CEL disappears from your cluster.
If that all checks out ok. try unbolting the fuel line that goes to the fuel rail. Unhook it from the fuel rail side and crank it over. it should spurt out when trying to turning it over.
So if you're getting fuel, switch out distributors first. if that doesn't solve it, ten bucks says your timing is off, lil homie.
if you got your car to start but won't rev past 2k, check your IACV and see if you got a CEL. Check all wiring, expecially those like me who did dpfi -> mpfi. Make sure all sensors are hooked up fine. Good luck, buddy.
