Question about Car-Care product.
What is the safe way to remove old wax on my car? also please tell me step to to it. I know dish-wash soap trick but i heard it can be bad on paint, since my color is milano red.
Also iam gonna use Meguiars NXT Tech Wax. (is it better than Carnauba wax?)
for the Directions, it says "For hand application, use a foam applicator pad, not a microfiber applicator." so i have to use little thing to buff wax?

No you can use the MicroFiber to buff it off. Use the applicator pad to put it on.
When you get water on your car and it no longer beads up, its time for wax. If you washed with dish wash Liquid soap you should be fine. Go ahead and start adding the wax.

using regular dawn dish washing soap should remove the wax. it's bad if you use it everytime you wash your car. it dries out the paint if you use it to often. you should try some klasse aio and the klasse sealent then top it off with the nxt wax or any other wax.

I personally don't like the idea of using dishwashing detergent at all. Claybar (as mentioned above), does an excellent job of taking off the old wax, also, any contaminants on the surface of the paint, and you get a clean slate to start fresh with. Just did my truck this past weekend, and it's smooth as glass with fresh wax for protection.
noob Q..Any brand ClayBar will not remove clear coat right??
Meguiars Quik Clay Detailing System good? geez claybars are $$$
after done with claybar do i wash again and wax? or what?

Mothers, claymagic, Meguiars ... all these will work just fine, I personally use a Poorboy's claybar but you cant by it OTC.
1. Wash
2. then clay, I like to use a bucket of car wash soap as my lubricant along with a sheepskin mit... so im basically washing and claying simutaneously.
3. Polish and/or swirl remover
4. Wax (2 layers of wax is all you need, allow at least 24 hours inbetween layers)
Ive heard good things about Meguiars NXT on red paint if your looking for a wax you can buy over the counter.

Meguiar's Scratch-X, a terry cloth towel, and some elbow grease. That is, of course, if clay fails you first. Seriously though, read through the Detailing FAQ at the top of this forum. You'll learn a lot.
