i just took off my door on my car and i they weight like 100 pounds each how can i lighten them and still teep the windows and door panles and wat ealse on the car can i light and still look stock thanks

 

the reason they're so heavy are because they have reinforcement bars in them incase you get t-boned. earlier doors have less reinforcement, and therefore are lighter. but with the 88 doors (and 89 hf and all hatches) you'd need either harnesses or to convert to pillar mounted belts.

what you *could* do, however i wouldn't, is cut out parts of the horizontal structure right on the inside of the door skin. that's where all the weight is.

 

could i still put the stock door pannel on or will it not fit or some thin

 

Replace your doors with huge vinyl stickers, make sure they are apc

just find some 88 doors or try to take some wieght of else where on your car.

 

your car is lighter than alot of other cars already... just leave it... im getting tired of seeing cars getting hacked up by people obsessed with wEiGhT rEdUcTiOn yO!
