It was almost surreal for all of 3 seconds. He was like, "hhmmmmm". And, I was like, "whooooaaa" as I turned my HID's on. For anybody that knows Indiana knows that it's one of the most underdeveloped import racing scenes. Seeing something like that when I'm in SoCal wouldn't make me even flinch, but in indiana (esp out little college town of 60-70k, with 40k of them students)...never.

I didn't get a chance to see what his rear plate was, but he didn't have a front plate, which means he's not from IL.

I was just wondering if he was on this board.

hum...I don't recall seeing any JDM Front End PY ITRs when I was at Purdue
I have seen a NBP ITR w/HIDs on I-65(I think he was on his way back to the Eastcoast), and there is a PY ITR at Purdue, and Josh's and his NBP ITR is just about 45min East of Purdue...so...that's 3 ITRs that I know of in IN. The great thing is each and everyone of us has HIDs...hahahaha We should totally meet up sometime!!!

Last time I counted, there were 4 total. 2 PY's and 2 NBP's. We used to have a couple of CW's, but I think they graduated.

We also happen to have a Mugen S2000 in silver...it's done in exact likeness of the Mugen S2000 you see in the Japanese tuner books. There's only one like it, so maybe somebody knows him too.

I'm one of two black ITR here in bloomington, and the reverend is one of two PY ITRs.

i guess there is a third PY ITR in town.

supposedly a turbo ITR from KY, owned by a shop, was supposed to come to the dyno day here in b-town. However, during the day the owner called and said he wouldn't be able to make it up. I was pretty stoked anticipating its arrrival though.

I went to UIUC a couple semesters ago (Short Stay)...Anyways...Talk about an Underdeveloped Car scene for 38k Students. Weaksauce as hell. Not that you really need a car because the busses hook it up. Still though... I'll be down there sometime in spring with my Hybrid. We should hookup and goto the bars. I might bring all my peoples with once too (VR-4, 2 GSX, Supra or 2). Everyone is scared to bring their poo poo down because of haters though. Bah...Thats why I roll sleeper.

I just saw it again today...it was getting ticketed by campus meter watchers. It's definitely a type-R alright. It has the stickers removed, but everything else says that it is. He's from NY with vanity plates. I'd say what it says, but I think I should keep it from public eyes.

what is that Vanity Plates mean??

 

Vanity plates are custom plates...ie: "BOOTY CALL 1", "IGNANT AZZ".

Some states make you pay extra, but IL (I think) still allows them as standard plates at no extra cost as long as the last digit is a number.

I talked to Colin from NY, but now has a job in indianapolis. He has a friend that goes here at IU. If he got a JDM front end, then i think it is him. If not, then it'll be cool to get a hold of him. Seems like R owners have known each other for a long time. Well, based on my experiences that is. The reverend is cool as hell, and i met Carlos in chicago. But he got rid of his CW R. Anyways, i'm gonna leave a note on his car next time i see it. Maybe he would like to come to the MR2 group's dyno day in march.

Kikko's one of the guys I met from outta town from DC that goes to school here too...H-T.com originator. I sold him a couple of parts and gave him some endlink bushings that I couldn't sell anyways, and that's how I know him. Plus, the LAP guys tried to hit on him to join their lil azn frat. It's a good thing he saved himself, otherwise they might have converted him .
