Default B16 valvetrain / B18b HEAD ???

well since we all know b- series v-tec valvetrain can withstand rpms around 8,000 and since im very poor i was wondering if i could use this valvetrain as an upgrade in my b18b when i toss in my crower 404's ??? will these work ive done a little searching and have not found anything useful....... also i plan on using CTR pistons on my b18b block but i heard it was better to use ITR pistons but modification was needed to make them work ??? could some one inform me of what exactly needs to be modified ??? as you can see i plan on building an n/a non v-tec motor .........

here is my planned build over the next few weeks and feedback and info is greatly appreciated.....

95 B18B

CTR or ITR pistons
crower 404's
undecided valvetrain
arp head studs
arp rod bolts
Modified cold air intake
generic 4-2-1 header w/2.5" collector
2.5" exhause w/high flow cat
aem FPR
custom chipped ECU

alos how much would it benefit me to use a shorter sir tranny vs. my ls ??

lmao just cause i have a spare head in my basement im workin on puttin b16 vtrain in and i have crower 404 cams right here next to me. bottom line i still think im gonna order rocket springs.

they physically fit but the exhaust springs on a LS are taller than the exhaust springs on a b16 (both b16 springs are the same height as LS intake). this would in theory affect seat pressure and since i have no way of measuring that im gonna take the safe route. also the outer b16 springs are bigger than the LS spring so the retainer fits loosely.

on a side note b16 valvesprings are MUCH beefier than LS springs but even still the might not be good enough for the 404 cams.. they have more duration than b16 cams do. and dont even think of running stock springs, they WILL bind, i checked.

dude, how much do you think ITR valvetrain will cost you? you know you can get JG aftermarket springs for the LS for 130 bux? rocket springs for 165? for 8k you dont need new retainers and both of those springs are single springs so they work well with stocker retainers. crane has a kit for 250 also thats springs and retainers.
