i recently did an oil change on my car and put the new mobil 1 super syn i think it's suppose to be good for 15,000 miles or something. a couple days after i drove through a terrible storm and hit a few big puddles and an hour or two later when driving home the CEL turned on. i drove the car the next day to school, coming home from school the CEL turned on again, no rain this day. i reset the ecu and it still throws the CEL every now and then. checked the ecu and when CEL is thrown its just showing a steady so blink? any help would be appreciated, thanks.

uhhhhhhhh...........count the blinks, that'll give you a indication of the cel code. short blinks=single digits, long blinks= 10s, 20s, etc.etc. there are many places on honda-tech and the web to give you the corresponding error message. By the way, I doubt an oil change caused a cel light.

 

it just does short blinks over and over it doesnt stop or anything. im new to this so any help would really be appreciated.

 

maybe when you hit a puddle water got into your car and in your ecu....... idunno maybe it could happen
