Default 2000 GSR w/97k Miles - Compression Result's

Compression Test Result's:
#1-210 #2-210 #3-203 #4-203

Just to keep a peace of mind that my motor is still running well. Are these results pretty good?

What's the Compression #'s on new B18C motor's?

What's the compression #'s that are near the warning level that your motor is going?

as long as the numbers are all close then thats fine...Reason becauase is many testers are not calibrated correctly...So someone may get 230 across the board but have the exact same compression as you.

Thats interesting... I never knew that.

So your saying if the compression is 130 130 125 125 thats still good since they are close? How about the compression being low?

No thats not good.

There is a minimum and maximum, you are about right in between if I remember right. Youre in good shape man.

LS' have different min/max as well, keep in mind. 150 on a b18c1 is bad news. 150 on an LS may be fine.

If you search there are like a billion posts about it...but...quick rundown.

Remove spark plugs, remove fuel pump fuse. hook up compression tester in cylinder. Crank engine. Let it pop 5 times. Read number. Go to next cylinder. That easy.
