A/C compressor on the frame!! (v-v-v-vibration!)
I need some help.
My A/C compressor sits right on the frame (or whatever). It's right on the driver's side, by the front wheel...you know? I get a good amount of vibration, particularly at certain RPM (no tach, sorry, no exact #s) but it seems to come mostly from the driver's side (while the pass. side mirror is clear, d. side is blurred by the vibration) leading me to believe the compressor's the culprit. It's a '91 DX w/b16a.
Anyone have a similar issue, or know what might be the problem? IF it is the compressor, it's been suggested it can just be shimmed (sp?) away from the frame/body/whatever. Does that sound doable? How?
Sorry for the Q's but the vibrations are driving me crazy!
