Default Exhaust fitment woes

The flange at the end of the b-pipe is rubbing against the unit body. Can an exhaust shop modify the hangers on my car or the b-pipe to prevent this? The rattling is really annoying.

In fact, the entire exhaust system looks to be sitting slightly to the right.

Here you can see what I mean:

Fixable? I can't see it really doing any damage, it's just annoying.

try bending the exhaust hangers first, it would be easier than cutting and rewelding the flanges

what exhaust are you running? i would try bending the metal hangers a little to the other side first, or maybe buying new rubber hangers...

T1R catback. It had to be lengthened 2" near the cat since there is no 94-99 GS-R application.

Can an exhaust shop fix this for me? Someone else said that the hangers don't do jack squat in terms of shifting exhaust left or right, they just hold it up.

Same thing happened to me on my old gsr, with a Greddy Evo. If you moved the hangers, I think the rubber pieces would still let it sit at the same location.

So, I tried everything pretty much, and ended up having to heat up one section of the piping (on the b-pipe bend) and bend the **** out of the piping the opposite way to move it from the right side of the car. I think the weld was crooked from the factory, so it was pulling the o2 sensor on my cat so it would hit the shift linkage, blow my o2/speedo fuse, and turn on a CEL.

2" doesn't seem like enough... should be closer to 4.5" to install a ITR exhaust on a 1994-1999 GSR.

I have the JDM ITR header and a custom cat.

Shop was able to just heat up the hangers on the b-pipe and the car and move it over. Fixed for $30.
