Type S cams vs. Euro R cams. any difference?
the topic is the question. is there a difference between the Type S cams and Euro R cams? I asked one day about Type S pistons and they were called the Euro R pistons since they were the same thing I was told. As I discussed it further with someone, I heard that the Euro R cams would be ideal for my Prelude(5th gen H22) but what I want to know is if they are the same thing as Type S. I looked online and see two different items of course, Euro R cams and Tpye S cams but are they actually different in profile, lift, duration, etc. Help.

Isn't the F20 an Accord SiR motor?
The Euro R motor is the same as the Type S, except for a different intake and tranny. The internals are the same, so the cams are identical. It's possible that there is a slight difference in profiles, but I doubt it.

Your information is not correct.
1) The Accord Type R was never in Japan, only Europe.
2) '00-'02 Type R = h22a
3) '00-'02 Euro R = h22a
4) late '02-present Euro R = k20a
