ok everyone says this will not work, but could i get an explanation? thanks(explanation as to why the mugen ecu only works with ctr and itr cams)
A Mugen ECU was designed around the CTR ITR Cams Not aftermarket cams, So It wont have enough fuel, Vtec X Over wont be in the right area etc.
Spoon ECU Same thing except it was designed on their Street cams
I would only suggest either
1.) A VAFC
2.) A VAFC and OBD1 ECU (Optional - Raise Rev Limiter)
3.) Power FC
4.) Hondata
Any of the 4 Would be a better choice (with Dyno Tuning) Over a Prechipped ECU.

i got a mugen ecu sitting around and was wondering will i loose power if i put this in with my jun'3 on my itr. thanks
Since you got a mugen ecu sitting around, Why dont you try it?
It is a FACT that the Mugen ECU was not designed for use with aftermarket cams (especially ones as aggressive as Jun IIIs)...don't even waste your time. Pick one of the options that Mike mentioned.

Better yet, sell it to someone on H-T for a decent price!

A Friend of mine dyno'd a his JUN stage 3 setup with a Mugen ecu (while he was wating for his JUN ecu). His hp was somewhere in the neighborhood of 175 to the wheels. He ripped the Mugen out and put the JUN in, and pulled 199 wheel hp. So no, it's not a good idea to use the Mugen ecu with th JUN's. IMO it's not good to use a Mugen ecu period. But again, that's my opinion.
i dont have a type r...
just a masely 186 hp b16a...i have ctr's and i run the JUN program with those, withh the ctr/JUN combo i netted 22 whp tuned in ofcourse...NO BULLSH*T
JUN PROGRAM WITH ANY CAMS....

Skunk 2 program will also work with JUN 3's. I have a JUN ecu available for sale if you like. They retail for way too much though, IM me or e-mail me if anyone is interested. I'll let it go for a good price, I have 2 of them and dont need them both.
