EF guys i need your help quick!!!!!!!!!
whats up guys, i have a problem with a swap i did, its an ls/vtec into a 90 civic wagon. it was previously converted to si wiring, done by a local hack shop, i mean speed shop. and after about 500 miles or so, one day the idle started to climb from 750-800 all the way to 3000. this is not my car, i did it for a friend. now i have never had this problem before, he told me exactly what i told you guys, so can someone help me out!!!!!!!!! thanks in advance any info would be greatly appreciated.
What ECU are you running? Is it throwing any codes? How long ago was the swap done?
I would take out the IACV and clean it with brake cleaner sparingly. They have a mesh that tends to get clogged after time. Takes one wrench, brake cleaner, pliers(for coolant lines) and 10 minutes of ur time.
Does the manifold you are using have an FITV? It may have just gone bad, hey it happens... Easy fix tho. Nothing big. That's all I can think of right now...

i have tried changing the throttle body and it did the same thing. no cels, and like i said this is not my whip, the kid had a obd0 pr3, with a ebay chip. it ran fine for the past year on his old b16 set up. i haven tried to change the iacv yet. but will do thanks for the quick replies.
