SCREECH from front (maybe right) wheel(s)!! 1991 Accord DX 5-speed
I have a 91 accord DX 5-speed, 94K miles. Pulling into the driveway a minute ago, a VERY high pitched screech/scraping noise was made from the front of the vehicle, sounded like right front. I haven't checked the brakes recently, but I have never heard brakes do this if it is in fact the brakes. It sounds totally like metal on metal. What else could it be? Wheel bearing(s) shot? CV axle? Ball joint?
We have a third vehicle, so no biggie right now. I will investigate tomorrow. Please let me know ideas. Thanks.

Ok...update.
I pulled the car into the garage and jacked up the front end, removing the front right wheel. With the car in neutral, I turned the rotor/wheel assembly. The high pitched SCREECHING mentioned is present just by turning the rotor/wheel assembly. I think it might be the pads are just done. The rotors are still pretty smooth. Maybe this is just the warning strip on the pads, but I don't remember warning strips being this loud. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

Close P Adams. I found a pinky nail sized pebble between the splash guard and rotor. Thanks for the response. Looks like a false alarm. All is well, now. Thanks.
