A friend just purchased a GSR bottom end that he would like to have some work done to before swapping into his Si coupe. How much should he expect to pay to have the engine bored out, sleeved (installation only) and get the entire bottom end installed?
We're looking at 2.1-2.2 GSR (85mm), rev limit of 9k roughly, sleeved, ect.
Can anyone suggest a company to do so? IB? Benson? Dart? I'm unfamiliar.

Sleeving Services: about $890.00 includes Bore, hone, hot tank, step deck and the sleeving process.
Basic bore and hone, hot tank, and deck is about $320.00
An 84mm Bore will give you about 2.0L on a GSR block with stock crank.
You'd have to do more than an 85mm to make it 2.1L+
I would recommend staying in the 84mm bore for street applications. I don't mean to be too upfront, but in your case, it doesnt look like you are familiar with the setups that much so I would suggest not going 85mm+ already.
You also have to consider the compression you plan on doing. There are only certain compression choices available for each bore size. for example, you can't really get an off the shelf piston 86mm bore at only 12:1. That would have to be custom made to order. Anything off the shelf 85mm+ will be most likely in the range of 13:1+ compression.
Let us know what compression you plan to do and the goals you want to make with the motor, that way, the members here can be of more help to you and choosing the right combination for you.
If youwant, feel free to PM or email me and I can help guide you to a setup that would work with your budget and goals.
