I found the sweet deal on a Teg, from auction, but there are no keys and thats why many people are shying away from the bid, is it a big deal to get new keys?? can a locksmith do it? is it as simple as calling up acura and telling them the vin?

Has anyone done this?

 

its ez! just go to the dealership with proof of ownership of the car. pay them about $8 or so they will make u a key in mins!

yeah go to the dealership. dont get it from just any locksmith cause I had a lock smith make me a copy of my key and it worked fine,but it gets stuck in the ignition and you cant take it out without bringing it back to the locksmith. OEM KEY!

 

what year is the gsr?...because the newer years have a key with a chip in it...I had to pay like 35 bucks for the dealership to make me a copy...lol...just letting you know...goodluck with the gsr...

 

The only years that came with this type of key are teh 00-01. they have a built in immobilizer chip to prevent theft.
