Default Recommended Wheel Size For CRX with Wings West Kit...(Searched)

I did a search and came up with no results.

What wheel size would you guys recommend for a CRX with the Wings West Kit.

It's going to be a really simple and clean install and it's going to be dropped on H&R Race Springs.

Pics, recommendations, advice?

It's going to be painted tomorrow and then dropped. Now all I need is a wheel size

Yeah, I figured 17's would be overkill....

this project is strictly for a daily driver. 90 HF totally stock except for what I am doing to the body.

I cant decide between the Rota C8's, Rota C10's or the Rota GT3's.....

what makes it worse is what color scheme to go with.

So far I've thought of:

Championship White w/White Rota C8's or C10's
Glass Black w/Royal Gunmetal C8's or Royal Gunmetal GT3's(OR maybe Bronze)
S200 Silver w/Silver or Gunmetal C8's

I have to decide by tomorrow

If I do go with 15's I'd want to find a set of wheels that have a pretty wide lip so that they compliment the kit.

I don't want to get 15's and have them look like steelies ya know what I mean?

Oh and I think I just might go with black....after seeing these pics after doing some searches.....WOW....talk about nice paint!

Yo Jesse!!!!

Dude, if your gonna put a kit and just want show then go with 16's because this will compensate for the lowered look from the kit. Putting 15’s will give the illusion that the wheel is smaller then it actually is. Your car looks sweet with the 15’s lowered and no kit (your Si model) but the added kit will need a bigger size to look right in my opinion.

Down side with 16's is you've got to be careful with the tire and stay away from nasty pot holes and make sure your alignment is as straight as possible cause those 40 series aint cheap! I say no body kit but in anycase let me know how it goes.

Good luck either way and I’ll talk to you later man!

yea 16s minimum. There will be too much wheel gap with the kit with 15s

Well, I think with 17's the speedo would be way off....Not sure with 16's.

The car will be running a stock HF motor so it won't be that big a deal to me.

I drove the car for the first time today on the freeway.....damn....these HF's were made for cruisin highways. I was doing 65mph and barely touched 2500rpms!

I plan on dropping the car with HR Race Springs with Tokico Whites.....also going to throw on the GC Modified Tophats for extra shock travel.

Now all I need is a good camber kit and a set of nice tires.

The car will be ready in 2-3 weeks.

your speedo wont be very far off with 16's compared to 15's... a 205/50/15 tire is about 22.8 inches in diameter while a 205/45/16 tire is about 23.1.

Damn, talk about jumping the gun! I had no damn idea how thin 40' series tires were.

When I talked to my friend he said get 40 series tires......so like a dumbass I ordered 205-40-16's to go with my new wheels and when I came home I was like DAMN! These things are like rubber bands! I didn't stop to wonder if he meant 40's or 45's......so when I remember him saying 40 series I thought 205-40

I bought them from DiscountTire online. I hope they let me exchange them for the 205-45-16's......

Take a look and see what I mean....

Damn, do I feel like a fool and my crx is almost out of the shop too!

Will 50's look like this? Remember these wheels and tires are going on a ww kitted crx so I don't want it to look odd. So its between 50's and 45's now I assume?
