Default Pegoda Kicked the Bucket

So i was driving home and I pull into the driveway....At this point I've had a while to repair my car's little problems and i've neglected them b/c of lack of other transportation and lack of funds(damn my hot gf!) Point is...i Pulled into the driveway...and i hear a loud....BAM....and i think..."backfire? oh **** that was really loud though" And now i can't move up the driveway. WTF! So i get out and guess what's lying on the ground of my driveway... I see my CV bearings.....You know the things that ride on the end of the axle and join with something....i can't remember i was so pissed/still pissed. So i am offically fucked outta my cool ride. So here's what i need to do.
Replace axle: 90-93 set. passenger side
Fix tranny casing: 92 Gsr. Can i use the casing off of an LS Tranny?
Change the clutch: Thinking of the stock 92 Acura Clutch
Tranny work: I need to replace 4th-5th syncros. and get a new 5th gear. I'm gonna try gearspeed b/c they have everything! But i'm taking it up the *** b/c of C.A Tax.

All of this b/c i didn't take care of my **** earlier in the year. Point is....I had to buy another Ef. and make this one another project over the summer.. So i'm gonna try and build it a little better this time and not leave the little **** till the end. At least now i can work on it whenever and not have to put it all backtogether to get to work on Mon.

That sucks man. We all pay at some point for buying cheap parts or not replacing other parts when we have to

I don't see why not, since the gears are used interchangably. I can't say for certain though, since tranny work it like fugging a rabid cow...not that I've tried either activities, I just know I won't like them.

Call up a local tranny guy, they should know. I'll ask my friend if I remember when I see him, he does trannys all the time now.

If the CV bearings came off, go to napa and buy the rebuild kit. Its like 20 an axel and its damn easy if you know how to work a snap ring plier. Rather than spend more money, and trade oem cores for reman'd pos's..I swear they make those out of graham cracker sometimes.

You can use any YS1 case for this transmission. And all 1992-1993 Integras (LS/RS/GS included) used YS1 transmissions. So yes, you can just get a cheap non-VTEC case. Just make sure that you do indeed get a 1992-1993, as 1990-1991 transmissions (S1/A1) use an entirely different case, which is not compatible. As for the clutch, you can use any 1992+ Integra clutch kit.

I busted a CV axle myself just last month. I got a Napa axle for like $58 and put it on in like 20 minutes. You probably broke one of the rollers on the spider in the CV boot. They dont seem too strong and if you hear or feel them pop then their gonna break soon.

Actually i had to run to my stepdad's apt and say..."my whole passenger side axle just blew up" Stepdad," good joke eamon!" Then i should him the cv bearings and his laughter turned into a "i'm sorry" and gave me a hug......But this was exactly the excuse i needed to redo the syncros on my Gs-R tranny. And buold up my b16.....Maybe new pistons.....who knows....perhaps another upgrade. I have a thread named Pegoda: Stage I. Maybe Stage II in the sumer of 05? muwhahahahahahahahaha....keep your eyes peeled. this beast is about to get an overhaul.

Build b16a in a 90 Hf.

that's hard luck, i remember a few months ago your b16 tranny went out, too.

good luck with it. i used to have an 87 4 door, paisley red. fun car, but you could hear the input shaft bearing from 20 feet away while going like 5 mph.
