Searched and only found one topic but can't seem to find the bolt I remove to fill my tranny fluid back up. Also does anyone know how many quarts, or just fil til it overflows? Thx
it's slightly above the drain bolt, if you're under your car (with your head under the passenger side front wheel), look toward the center of the car and you will see the side of the tranny case. You will see a bolt that has a 3/8" ratchet extension hole in it, that is the drain hole.
3 inches Above that you should see another bolt, that is the fill hole. Make sure you can get the fill bolt off before you drain it though. I usually just use a flexible hose with a funnel to fill it (from the engine bay). If you have a helper, it's easier. You could also fill through the Speed Sensor on top of the tranny and put 2.5 qts in, or do it through the fill hole and see when it spills out (on level ground).
it's in this pic right above the crowbar, you can see fluid coming out of the drain hole. This pic is from this writeup: https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1

thankyou sir, I know exactly what bolt you're talking about. I removed that first thinking it was the drain bolt, then and hardly anything came out I searched on here and found out which one was really the drain bolt haha. So it is the 17mm bolt up a few inches and over a little to the back side of the axle. I need to go out and get a manual for times like these lol. Thx again

Yeah, I edited my post when I found that thread. That thread also shows how to fill tranny fluid through the VSS and change an axle, very useful! Glad I could help.

Are all the bolts on your car so nice and clean? I'm jealous
I'm trying to change all of them but it's costly and not really worth it.
Edit, Except the LCA bolt...

Here is the way i did it. I think i saw this on team integra.
I removed the speed sensor on the top of the tranny. It is 2-10mm bolts and one other bolt. This is right on top, back of the tranny housing. You can see it when you look straight down from the rear corner of the passanger fender.Drained the tranny, and pulled the filler bolt. Now i got a regualr funnel and filled the tranny up. I think it take 2.2qt.
Once you 2qt in you will want to pour more fluid in rear slow and wait till it just dribbles out of the filler hole. Once it does that, put the filler bolt back on, put the speed sensor back in and your done.
I sounds like more work, but it was really clean and easy to do.

haha, hell no! that's B18C5-EH2's car, his how-tos always show the parts lookin all clean. My car and all of it's 156k miles make for dirty bolts. My 2000 gsr was very clean however, I could drink from the oil drain plug
