Smog and reg. in 2 weeks need opinions!!!
sup guys my da9 is burning a ton of oil at 3k rpm. i know **** is not leaking and i do know that my valve seals are the culprit. so has anyonwe here passed smog when there motor was burning oil?

Do an oil change, that will lower the HC count on the smog check
Go use a bottle of GTP (Guaranteed To Pass), it helps.
Get the car nice and hot before you take it in, and try and keep the exhaust as hot as possible before they test it. The better the catylitic is working, the less the burning oil will show in the results.
Get a "pretest" done immediately before the real test, that way, if it fails, you don't go on the books with the failure.

k guys...my friend just got done with test smogging my **** and he said that it will fail due to the motor runnin rich...any ideas on what to check?

Doesn't your friend know how to diagnose the problem if he has a smog license, why not ask him.

he doesnt have a smog license...he is taking a mech class and there is a smog machine...
