Default B18B Turbo Problem for you Techs...

ok I have a Stock B18B LS Non-Vtec Turbo motor with a problem. The motor spits out white smoke out the exhaust, there are no leaks in the engine bay, the compression test results displayed that the third cylinder had no compression, the spark plug in the third cylinder was coated with oil.
So I'm thinking that the problem is either the rings need to be replaced, head gasket is gone, or valve seals need to be replaced.

I was wondering what parts you guys recommend to change, brand names, and what other things should be swapped out.

Also, I was wondering if anyone knew the exact tools needed to remove the head from the block. And if anyone could kindly send me a link to a step by step process to removing an LS head. Thank you for your time!

A leak down test would be required to tell you more about where you're losing the compression. As for your step by step instructions, get yourself a good shop manual. I have a Honda one. It's invaluable. I wouldn't even think about tearing the head off without my manual within arm's reach and I've done it at least a couple of dozen times.

As for what parts to use, I'd say go Hastings on the rings (might as do the whole block while you've got it apart) and OEM on everything else.

do a cylinder leakage test: if you can hear air coming out the dipstick, its the rings(or maybe if you have detonation, you blew a hole in the piston). if air comes out the exhaust its the exhaust valve/valves. if air comes out your intake, its the intake valve/valves. if it was your head gasket, then 2 cylinders that are right next next to eachother would be lower in compression than the other two.

It could also be a problem with the Crankcase Ventilation. It can cause your Rear Main Seal to break like mine. If this is the problem, you need a Catch Can like Cusco so it won't happen again. I wish I had known this earlier.
